Landowner

The Seldin legacy began in the late 1940s. Scott Seldin’s father, Millard Seldin, and his grandfather, Ben I. Seldin, built their first spec house in East Council Bluffs, Iowa. Millard was the founding member of his Omaha-based real estate business. In the sixties, he became active in Florida real estate acquisitions and a long-term landowner, first in Miami. The Seldin family continues to maintain multiple landholdings in Florida—including Ocala and Ocala Ranch, which borders the Drake family ranch—along with additional area properties. Their fifty-year history also includes buying and training thoroughbred racehorses in Marion County, with horses currently in training at Rice Farm in Fort McCoy.

Building on this foundation, Scott Seldin graduated from Arizona State University in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science in Real Estate and Finance. He then began his career in the Arizona real estate industry. In 1990, Millard co-founded Southwest Value Partners (SVP), a private real estate investment firm in Scottsdale. Scott joined him in the business. Through their efforts, the company acquired over $500 million in assets across Arizona, California, Kentucky, Virginia, Iowa, Maryland, Minnesota, and Hawaii. These included hotels, apartments, land, and, at one point, more than 30% of the Class A office buildings in downtown San Diego.

Today, as President of Kent Circle Partners and designated broker of Seldin Real Estate, Inc., Scott controls the operations of the third-generation family-owned commercial real estate portfolio across the United States. He has directly overseen one million square feet of office and industrial projects and handled the purchase and development of over 10,000 acres of land, which were ultimately developed as residential, commercial, industrial, and retail properties.

Kent Circle Partners continues the Seldin family legacy by actively undertaking land planning and entitlement processes for properties totaling 8,000 acres in Sarpy County/Omaha, Nebraska; Parker and Fort Lupton, Colorado; Phoenix/Surprise, Arizona; and Ocala, Florida.

Throughout its expansion and diverse undertakings, Kent Circle Partners and related entities have been based in Scottsdale, Arizona, for over 36 years.
