The Seldin legacy began in the late 1940s. Scott Seldin’s late father, Millard Seldin, and his grandfather, Ben I. Seldin, built their first spec house in East Council Bluffs, Iowa. Millard was the founding member of his Omaha-based real estate business and was active in Florida real estate acquisitions and long-term landowner since the late 1960s. The Seldin family has maintained multiple land holdings in Ocala and Silver Springs for more than five decades.
Scott Seldin graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science in Real Estate and Finance and began working in the Arizona real estate industry. In 1990, Millard Seldin co-founded Southwest Value Partners (SVP) in Scottsdale, AZ., a private real estate investment firm, and Scott began working with his father. The company acquired over $500,000,000 of assets in Arizona, California, Kentucky, Virginia, Iowa, Maryland, Minnesota, and Hawaii, owning hotels, apartments, land, and at one point, over 30% of the Class A office buildings in downtown San Diego.
As President of Kent Circle Partners since 2000 and designated broker of Seldin Real Estate, Inc., Scott controls the operations of their family commercial real estate portfolio and business matters across the United States. He has directly overseen 3-million square feet of office and industrial projects as well as the purchase and sale of over 7,000 acres of land ultimately developed as residential, commercial, industrial, and retail property. Today, Kent Circle continues the legacy and vision of the Seldin family in undertaking the active land planning and entitlement process on properties in Sarpy County-Omaha, Neb., Parker, Colo., and Ocala, Fla., constituting in total over 5,000 acres.
Scott is also a minority partner in the Phoenix Suns NBA franchise and the Phoenix Mercury WNBA, a classic car collector, and breeds and races thoroughbred horses.
